How to read it
The dots in the iron set the highest sole plate temperature: one dot is 110°C. The Canadian government's guide gives it as the setting for acetate, acrylic, modacrylic, nylon, polypropylene and spandex. Two dots allow 150°C and three dots 200°C.
Where a garment's own label or its manufacturer says otherwise, that takes precedence.
