Discord badges
Discord badges are the small icons on a Discord profile. Each shows something about the account: a Nitro subscription, boosting a server, a completed Quest, a kept old username, or a legacy status such as Early Supporter or a HypeSquad house.
How to read it
Discord’s help centre calls them profile badges and says they are non-transferable and cannot be moved to another account. Some can still be earned, a few are rare, and several legacy badges can no longer be obtained but stay on the profiles that have them. In the account data Discord gives to apps, the older badges are flags with plain names, such as Early Nitro Supporter, House Bravery Member and Moderator Programs Alumni (Discord developer documentation). Discord’s developer documentation still lists an Early Verified Bot Developer flag, but the help centre’s list of badges no longer includes it.
The Server Booster badge changes
Discord’s Server Boosting FAQ says the booster badge evolves when it reaches milestones of time, for as long as the streak of boosting continues. The streak runs from the oldest boost still applied, however many servers are boosted, and a profile with several boosts shows the longest one. If boosting stops, the badge goes back to its first level, unless the boosts are moved to another server within 72 hours. The FAQ shows the stages as a picture rather than in words.
Look-alikes
Nitro, Nitro Classic and Nitro Basic subscribers all get the same Discord Nitro badge; the pink badge is the Server Booster one. Bug Hunter and Golden Bug Hunter are two levels of the same badge, Bug Hunter Level 1 and Level 2 in Discord’s account data. HypeSquad Events is a separate badge from the three HypeSquad house badges. The Moderator Programs Alumni badge was first given out as the Certified Discord Moderator badge.
