Certified B Corporation: B Lab has certified the whole company, not a product, as meeting its standards for social and environmental performance, accountability and transparency.
How to read it
B Lab describes B Corp Certification as a designation that a business meets high standards of verified performance, accountability and transparency, on matters from employee benefits and charitable giving to supply chains. A company needs a score of 80 or more on the B Impact Assessment and must pass a risk review. It must also make a legal commitment, changing its corporate governance to be accountable to all stakeholders.

Renewal
Certified B Corps must update their assessment and verify their score every three years.
Who checks
Ecolabel Index lists B Corporation certification as verified by the organization that runs it, rather than by an independent third party.
