Nissan ProPILOT Assist status indicator
Nissan’s ProPILOT Assist status indicator: white when ProPILOT Assist is on but in standby, blue when it is active.
How to read it
Nissan’s 2024 Rogue manual says ProPILOT Assist consists of Intelligent Cruise Control (ICC) and Steering Assist. A front camera behind the windshield watches the lane markers and a radar sensor at the front measures the distance to the vehicle ahead; the system slows the car to follow a slower vehicle at the selected distance and helps keep it centered in its lane when clear lane markings are detected. The status indicator is white when ProPILOT Assist is on but in standby, and blue when it is active.

Nissan lights vary by model and year. The owner’s manual for the vehicle says what each light means on it, and a Nissan dealer or a qualified mechanic can say what it means for a particular car.
The other lights with it
The steering side of the system has its own Steering Assist indicator, which turns red when the car detects hands off the wheel.
What NHTSA calls it
A system that steers and controls speed at the same time is what NHTSA calls additional assistance, level 2: continuous assistance with both acceleration and braking and steering, while the driver remains fully engaged and attentive. Its parts are what NHTSA calls adaptive cruise control and lane centering assistance. NHTSA notes that makers use different names for the same driver assistance technologies.
